The Dripping Timer

  1. Title: The Dripping Timer
  2. Project Description: Using dripping water to create a timer.
  3. Materials: Duct Tape,  Hot Glue, Foam Board, Tennis Ball Containers, Pipe, Ping Pong Ball, Ske
  4. Tools: Hot Glue Gun, Scissors, Holepuncher.
  5. What was the most challenging part of the project? Waterproffing the conainers.
    1. Were there times when things didn’t work as you expected? Nothing was staying water proof.
    2. What did you do to resolve the problems you ran into? Switched materials.
  6. What was the most fun? Making the frame.
  7. What did you learn by going through this process? Don't use materials that aren't waterproof and try to make them waterproof.
    1. Were there new tools you had to learn about in order to complete the project? Nope.
    2. In your attempts to make things work, did you find yourself trying new strategies or approaches? Yes, trying lots of different materials
  8. What would you change?: If you had the time and resources, what would you change about your project if given the opportunity? Use better containers.

  1. Title: Bert The Turtle
  2. Project Description: Using light sensors, leds and a servo motors to make a turtle fall when detecting light.
  3. Materials: Cardboard, foam board, bomb picture, bert picture, Led's, servo motor, light sensor and light sensor.
  4. Tools: Screwdriver, hot glue gun, scissors.
  5. What was the most challenging part of the project? Coding the program.
    1. Were there times when things didn’t work as you expected? When the program wasnt working for the LED's.
    2. What did you do to resolve the problems you ran into? We changed the code.
  6. What was the most fun? Listening to the horrific songs.
  7. What did you learn by going through this process? How to use the humming bird.
    1. Were there new tools you had to learn about in order to complete the project? The humming bird.
    2. In your attempts to make things work, did you find yourself trying new strategies or approaches? Making holes to stick the wires through.
  8. What would you change?: If you had the time and resources, what would you change about your project if given the opportunity? Nothing comes to mind.

  5. What was the most challenging part of the project? Making The Cams.
    1. Were there times when things didn’t work as you expected? Using two off set cams make it spin weirdly differently than I expected

    2. What did you do to resolve the problems you ran into? I joined them together so it wasn't a problem and positioned them differently.
  6. What was the most fun? Finishing and adding the foam front.
  7. What did you learn by going through this process? How to use cams and make a project with hand powered motion.
    1. Were there new tools you had to learn about in order to complete the project? I was using the eyelets.
    2. In your attempts to make things work, did you find yourself trying new strategies or approaches? Maybe cutting things differently.
  8. What would you change?: If you had the time and resources, what would you change about your project if given the opportunity? It was a good project.

Light Up And Spin End Of Project Post

1. Light Up and Spin: Bill Board
2. The project was about learning how to wire a circuit and use a soldering iron also to use LED's, a motor or an incandescent light.
3. Materials
A small wooden block
Two Red LEDs
Two Toothpicks
A piece of plastic board
A battery
One resistor
Wire
A switch
4. Tools
Soldering Iron
Soldering Wire
A helping hand from a friend
Wire Stripper
5. Holding a soldering iron, the items I was soldering, the soldering wire and holding the base in place.
a. The working of LED was interesting with lining them up correctly.
b. Sometimes I needed some help holding 4 items at once so some people came to help me. 
6. The best part was after you had soldered two wires together and held perfectly together.
7. I learned how to use a soldering iron and learned some about wiring LED
a. I had fun learning to use the soldering iron.
b. I tried resting the wire on the board while holding the wire from the soldering iron and the iron itself.
8. I would not have changed much I had a great time designing and building my project.
